How to add pictures and videos in the check-in or check-out form ?

Pictures and videos can be displayed in Sailsense mobile APP to illustrate an item of check-in or check-out form. Here's how.

HOW TO ADD PICTURES:

At tis point in time, the Sailsense Mobile APP can only display pictures that are available (or made available by you) on the internet. So either you work with pictures readily available on the internet, or you make your own pictures available publicly on the internet to be able to use them in Sailsense APP.

Option 1: you'd like to upload pictures readily available on the internet

1. The first thing you need is the URL of the picture you'd like to use
   • Go to the website on which the picture is displayed
   • Click-right on the picture and select  "Copy Image Adress"
2. Go to Sailsense Fleet Management Dashboard, then to Settings (under your profile avatar)
3. Open the Check-in or Check-out form in which you'd like to add a picture
4. In the field "Item description" in which you'd like to add a picture, type the following characters: 
5. Replace the word url by the url link of the picture copied during step 1 (you can click on "crtl" + "v" on your keyboard)
6. Save your form. The picture should be available in the mobile APP for your charter customers

Option 2: you'd like to use your own pictures

1. The first thing you need is to make the pictures you'd like to use publicly available on the internet. To do so:
   • Go to Postimage.org
   • Upload the picture(s) you'd like to use
   • Postimage will then generate a unique url link to each of your image. Copy the link called "Direct Link"
2. Go to Sailsense Fleet Management Dashboard, then to Settings (under your profile avatar)
3. Open the Check-in or Check-out form in which you'd like to add a picture
4. In the field "Item description" in which you'd like to add a picture, type the following characters: 
5. Replace the word url by the url link of the picture copied during step 1 (you can click on "crtl" + "v" on your keyboard)
6. Save your form. The picture should be available in the mobile APP for your charter customers

HOW TO ADD VIDEOS:

At tis point in time, the Sailsense Mobile APP can only display videos that are available (or made available by you) on the internet.

1. If the video you'd like to display in Sailsense mobile app is available on the internet (e.g. on youtube), go to step 2. Otherwise, go to youtube.com and upload your video.
2. Click-right on the video you'd like to use and then click on "Copy video URL" 
3. Go to https://video-to-markdown.netlify.app/ and paste the URL copied in step 2 in the field "Video URL". Give the video a title and then click on "convert to markdown"
4. After few seconds, an image will be generated with a URL link underneath. Click on that link to copy it.
5. Go to Sailsense Fleet Management Dashboard, then to Settings (under your profile avatar)
6. Open the Check-in or Check-out form in which you'd like to add a picture
7. In the field "Item description" in which you'd like to add a picture, type the following characters: 
8. Replace the word url by the url link of the picture copied during step 4 (you can click on "crtl" + "v" on your keyboard)
9. Save your form. The picture should be available in the mobile APP for your charter customers
