How can I enable the damage reporting option in the Sailsense Mobile App ?

While performing a check-in or a check-out procedure in the Sailsense Mobile app, your customers can report damages on a 2D plan of the boat. This can be customized from the Fleet Management Dashboard.

Here's how to enable the damage reporting by your customers during check-in or check-out:

Note: only users with account owner or base manager rights can perform the following steps.

  1. First of all, you will need a 2D map of your boat in jpg format, smaller than 2MB
  2. Upload this 2D map in your boat settings:
    1. Login to your Fleet Management Dashboard account: app.sailsense.io

    2. When logged in, click your name on the top right, then choose Settings.

    3. In the menu on the left, choose Boats.

    4. Select the boat for which you want to enable the 2D map.
    5. In the Blueprints tab, click on the (+) and upload your 2D map
  3. Activate the "Allow your customer to log damages" in the check-in or check-out procedure
    1. Login to your Fleet Management Dashboard account: app.sailsense.io

    2. When logged in, click your name on the top right, then choose Settings.

    3. In the menu on the left, choose Checklists.

    4. Select the procedure for which you want to enable the damage reporting option
    5. In the options field, make sure that "Allow your customer to log damages" is checked.
    6. Click on Save Changes
  4. You are done. The 2D Map will now appear in the procedure and boat you updated. 

Can my customers report damages on several views of the boat (e.g. inside, outside storyboard, ...) ?

Yes, this can be done by combining the different views in one single picture.
